Who?
Blue Mind Retreats, based in Cornwall, UK, believe that us humans have ‘blue minds’. Being near, in, or on water has calming, energising, and therapeutic powers. It gives us a physical and cognitive boost.
We live in a world where people are becoming increasingly aware about how health and wellness are linked to happiness. We also live in a world which is inundated with awesome outdoors opportunity.
Blue Mind Retreats wants to get as many people as possible into the great outdoors and into to the sea. In the process, showing how awesome it can make you feel.

Retreats
We create and guide the ultimate retreats. We believe our selling point is the variety of activities you do on a retreat with us.
We believe that getting yourself in, on, or near water does wonders for your mental and physical health. All our activities bare this in mind.
Our itineraries cater for thrill-seekers, fitness nuts, the wellness conscious, and water-sports enthusiasts alike.
We pick you up from the station, host you, and drive you from activity to activity in our van.
Think of it as a ‘just turn up and enjoy’ exeperience.
Our retreats are a great opportunity for like-minded people to connect and make friends with similar passions, but most importantly, make you feel awesome.

Mobile Surf School
Blue Mind Retreats also operates as a mobile surf school. If you want a surf lesson, we will find the best conditions in Cornwall for that given day. We will meet you there with all the equipment you need. The best conditions and in the least onerous way.
Floating on your surfboard, or riding down the face of a wave, can give you the most awesome feeling.
We promise you will have a smile on your face after a surf session in the idyllic Cornish bays.
Our Mission
Our mission is two-fold.
1) Share how good the outdoors can make you feel.
2) Show off how epic Cornwall is.
Our story
Founder, Josh Pinchess, worked in the City of London for 5 years in a high-paced, high-stress job. A bad head knock playing rugby, left him unable to complete ordinary, day-to-day tasks, and consequently signed off work. Once a confident young man, with the finance world at his feet, he was left in a dark place.
Not being able to socialise, due to the physical side effects of the concussion, only furthered the issue.
During the darkest times, however, there was one escape. No matter how dark the times got, going for a coastal walk, a surf, a fish, or a swim, always managed to boost his morale. An escape from the challenges of life, that we all face.
This isn’t a story to be proud about, but living proof that you can use the outdoors to limitlessly improve your physical and mental health. In this instance, it is no exaggeration to say the great outdoors saved a life. This is the message that Blue Mind Retreats wants to spread.
